ABOUT RUDN

The University was founded on 5th February, 1960 by the USSR Government. It allowed students and academics to be free to pursue their learning, teaching, and research activities at , without being subject to political context, but firmly directed to the grand principles of friendship and mutual support.

In 2010 RUD was bestowed upon the UNESCO Gold Medal for its contribution to the training of personnel for developing countries of the world.

RUDN has 31,000 students pursuing 472 Higher education Programs and 2100 Continuing Education programs. A truly International university with students from 157 countries studying at RUDN.

As per the National Ranking of Top 10 Russian Universities RUDN is proud to have been ranked at # 9.

It is ranked in the range of 501-550 rank according to the QS World University Rankings. RUDN is ranked 78 as per the QS University Ranking, BRICS Top 100 Universities and 67 in the Emerging Europe and Central Asia Top 100 Universities.

It has gained 5 stars is the QS Stars Categories for Education Quality, Internationalization, Infrastructure, Innovations and Social Environments.

RUDN runs 155 Joint Educational Programs with Top QS 500 World Universities. It boasts of 250 co-operation agreements with International Universities and Scientific centers.

STUDENT CAMPUS is surrounded by a city forest where one can find promenade paths, sports grounds and fitness facilities, picnic and recreation areas regional.

In 2018 the new 18-storey student hostel building, which has been constructed under the innovative project and has an area of 13,302.7 m², will become home for over 800 students,

The RUDN University Student Council has been many times awarded the title of the Best Student Self-Government Board.STUDENT COUNCILS bring together leaders of faculties and institutes, every student hostel, presidents of regional and international organizations, professional communities.
