ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All India Senior School Certificate (awarded by CBSE/CISCE/NIOS) OR Equivalent Higher Secondary Certificate (awarded by State Boards except Punjab State Board)
Average of 60% for best 4 academic subjects or higher
GCE A Levels
Minimum of 6 points taken from the best 2 or 3 subjects where A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1 (AS Levels are equivalent to half points e.g. A=2.5, B=2 etc.) or higher
Other ways to qualify for entry
In addition to the successful completion of High School or Secondary Studies you are required to achieve a final grade of 63% or more in one of the following:
A recognised post-secondary (post high school) course.
University preparation (foundation) studies.
One year study at a recognised tertiary or higher education institution.
2 units completed at an Australian University or Open Universities Australia (OUA)
ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS
Minimum English Requirements
For admission into Murdoch you must be able to provide evidence of competency in the English language. This is usually achieved through one of the following:
- A scaled score of 50% or more in ATAR English, English Literature or English as a Second Language (or interstate equivalent).
- An Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall score of 6.0 (with no band below 6.0) or equivalent scores for the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, TOEFL iBT or the Occupational English Test (OET).
- Successful completion of a University enabling course (e.g. OnTrack, FlexiTrack).
- A score of 140 or more in the Written English component of the STAT test
- Successful completion of either a Diploma (AQF Level 5 or higher) OR two University-level units (AQF Level 7 or higher).

ACCOMODATION
Live in Murdoch University Village
Be part of a vibrant community of more than 800 students at Murdoch University Village. The village features a wide range of secure apartments as well as recreational facilities, including a beach volleyball court, swimming pool, e-library and a student lounge.
You can also join the unique Live, Learn and Grow residential life program which will help you adjust to campus life.
The village is owned and operated by Campus Living Villages in close partnership with Murdoch University.
ADMISSION PATHWAYS
ENABLING COURSES
If you don’t currently meet our admission pathway requirements, don’t worry – we can help you get to where you want to go.
Murdoch Institute of Technology
Murdoch Institute of Technology (MIT) offers a Murdoch University Preparation Course (MUPC). If you successfully complete the MUPC you can apply direct to Murdoch for admission into any course except for Veterinary Science. To meet the entrance requirements for Law you will need to get a course weighed average of 78% or higher.
It also offers the MIT Foundation Studies course. Completion of this course with a minimum final mark of 50% in all subjects will meet entry to Murdoch courses with a Selection Rank of 70. For Engineering you must have a minimum average of 70% with a minimum mark of 75% in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. For Law your minimum average mark must be 78%.
Murdoch Pre-Law
This course is designed to assess your current skills and to evaluate your current suitability for studying Law at Murdoch University. In order to be eligible for inclusion in the program applicants must have been away from study for a minimum of 12 months. Current Murdoch students are not eligible. Successful completion of the Murdoch PreLaw course will result in an offer of admission into the Bachelor of Law course.
