Kabardino-Balkaria State University is one of the leading scientific, educational, informational, social and cultural University in Nalchik city of Kabardino-Balkaria Republic of Russian Federation. Kabardino-Balkaria State University annually produces about two thousand specialists. Kabardino-Balkaria State University formed in 1957 in Nalchik on the basis of Pedagogical college. On 50th anniversary Kabardino-Balkaria State University received Certificate of Merit and Medal from State Duma for its outstanding services and achievements. In 2008, the Kabardino-Balkaria State University enlisted in 100 best universities in Russia. In 2010, the Kabardino-Balkaria State University received an honorary diploma of the winner of All-Russian contest “100 Best University of Russia in the field of science and education”. Currently Kabardino-Balkaria State University operates the university complex as a new type of school, which combines different levels of educational institutions, implementing educational programs of higher, secondary, post-graduate and additional professional education. Today Kabardino-Balkaria State University holds 11 place among classical universities in Russia. Currently Kabardino-Balkaria State University has 67 departments with the teaching staff of 870 highly qualified teachers, where 1800 students getting trained every year. Till now Kabardino-Balkaria State University has trained 14500 students.

Application Rules

1. Admission of foreign citizens to KBSU for the basic educational programs is carried out according to the international contracts of the Russian Federation and the intergovernmental agreements of the Russian Federation at the expense of the means of the corresponding budget (including within the established by the Government of the Russian Federation quota), and also under the contracts with the payment of the cost of training by natural and (or) legal persons.
2. There are two ways to get quality education in Russia: contract-based and state-funded mode of study.

If you want to be enrolled in our university for the contract mode of study the following steps should be taken:

• choose the educational programme;
• forward an application to the International Department or the Representative
• receive an official response from KBSU;
• prepare a full document package as follows:

• •  National passport (document certifying the identity and citizenship) and its translation into the Russian language, notarized at the notary bureau on the territory of Russia; If the translation was made in the home country, the notarization must be done in the consulate of Russia
  • Certificate of previous education. If the certificate is issued in a foreign language its translation must either be legalized at the consulate of the Russian Federation in the home country or apostilled
  • Certificate of recognition of foreign education in accordance with the RF legislation, except for cases in which such certificate is not required
  • Medical certificate
  • Certificate of the HIV-negative status and AIDS-negative status verified by the official agency of the resident country
