ABOUT DAGESTAN STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

2017 marks the 85th anniversary of the Dagestan State Medical University. In 1932, the Council of People’s Commissars adopted a historic decision to establish the Dagestan State Medical Institute with the aim of training medical personnel for Dagestan itself and other North Caucasian republics.
Dagestan State Medical Institute has its unique history, glorious and good traditions, decades of experience in training and educating the specialists. All of this gives Dagestan State Medical Institute the right to be proud of its success and achievements in various medicine areas. Over the past years DSMU has become a real school of the Medical Art. Dagestan State Medical University has graduated more than 27 000 doctors who work in all parts of our country, and hold political office. Many of them are known far beyond the borders of the republic.
At DSMU has been formed a highly qualified teaching staff, which is characterized by high professionalism and dedication to their profession. It supports and develops the traditions established by the university old-stagers. There are 706 teachers working at the university, including 66 Professors, 179 Associate Professors, 418 Candidates of Medical Sciences, and 116 Doctors of Medical Sciences.
Currently, Dagestan State Medical University is a large educational, scientific and medical center. The structure of Dagestan State Medical University consists of 5 departments. DSMU has its own large enough base for fundamental and practical disciplines, an extensive network of all profiles clinical sites (over than 40) , 75 departments, headed by Doctors and Professors. The structure of Dagestan State Medical University also includes Research Institute of human ecology of mountainous territories, consultative-diagnostic clinic, medical college, employment center for the university graduates, information and computer department, logistical support center, an analytical department, internet centre, scientific medical library, sports complex, publishing and polygraphiccenter.
Today, Dagestan State Medical University is a recognized center of the innovative education, science and culture of the region. DSMU retains the best native traditions and enriches them with a new experience of the world educational and scientific space.

The university issues ADMISSION CONFIRMATION LETTER after reviewing the documents.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR VISA

•  Filled Application form
• Original passport (valid for 2 years minimum)
• Secondary school certificate (attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs or with Apostille stamp)
• Aids/HIV test (attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
• Official Invitation letter issued by Federal Migration Services of the Russian Federation through Dagestan State University
• 2 Passport size Photos (3.5 x 4.5)
  In some countries Embassy of Russian Federation _ requires legalization of documents from specific departments.

APPLICATION PROCESS

STEP-BY-STEP

1. SUBMIT DOCUMENTS

Submit the required documents for the application.

2. ADMISSION CONFIRMATION LETTER:

University issues ADMISSION CONFIRMATION LETTER after reviewing the documents.

3. PAYMENT FOR LETTERS:

A payment for the invitation letter (400USD) and courier charges (100 USD) has to be transferred to the university through Western Union or Money Gram.

After the payments, University shall issue the original Invitation letter, Admission Confirmation letter and Visa Support letter by courier.

4. INVITATION:

Invitation are issued by the Federal Migration Services and it takes 35-45 days to issue the invitation letter.

5. VISA APPLICATION:

After these documents, Visa needs to be applied at the Russian Embassy with the documents required for Visa purpose.

6. ARRIVAL:

Inform the University of your arrival- Flight Details, Date and time of arrival. A university representative will have to receive you at the airport, else a student will be deported.

7. FEE PAYMENT:

Original documents and Full first Year Expenses /Payment receipt have to be submitted at the university.

8. REGISTER:

Register at the University within 3 working days after arrival.

International office will extend the visa from Home office.
